9232 In its original, well preserved paint a Pennsylvania mid 1800’s hand molded redware bank. A larger natural apple form similar in size to that of a softball whose contours are highlighted by its shaded crimson paint and prominent mustard-red cheek. 9185 Found in Vermont a polychrome plaster bonnet block dated 1865 with the makers mark 107 all incised into the surface. The bold red, yellow and green are riotous and highlighted in black. Overall the condition is excellent with normal wear and free of cracks or major chips. The three original wooden mold plugs remain appearing as black circles, two at the front lower bottom and one at the rear lower bottom. 9191 From a PA private collection a 19th century molded earthenware bank in the form of an exaggerated apple. It is painted in shades of mustard yellow with two molded leaves and stem in deep green. This apple is free of cracks, repairs and touchups. The coin slot condition is just as it was when cut originally into the piece. 9183 A late 19th to early 20th century earthenware apothecary mortar and pestle in a brilliant lemon yellow glaze slip decorated with four abstract daubs of spinach green with a few random drops of green here and there. A lively piece with minor edge wear on the ears and pouring spout. It is free of any cracks, chips or crazing.
