9179   An early second quarter 1800’s diminutive painted tin tumbler probably Connecticut origin.  Excellent alternating red and yellow banding around the top and yellow pin stripping around the base all on the original oxidized asphaltum ground.  Completely original without dings, dents, pinholes or repairs.  A solid little piece.  Size: 3”H x 2.875”W at top x 2.125” W at the base.   $140.00

9173   From a PA estate a well preserved early to mid 1800’s painted tin tray decorated with florals, foliage, scroll and pinstriped border.  Bold colors remain strong adding depth to the image.  Excellent realist composition captured on a relatively small area.  Size: 14”L x 11.75”W x .5”H (deep)   $340.00

9157   A rare, early 1800’s signed (E. G. Montgomary) painted tin coaster for use beneath a bottle of wine or spirits.  Nicely detailed with alternating lattice bands and a floral series.  Against the black ground the primary colors are gold, white, pink, red and green.  The bottom interior is lined with cork and although is aged and has a nice patina cannot be guaranteed to be original.  Nevertheless a well preserved, nearly pristine piece.  Size: 5.325”Diameter x 1.5”H   $450.00

9151   A 19th century second quarter tea canister in original vivid paint.  There are four images, two berry designs and two leaves alternating and evenly spaced around the sides.  Around the bottom there is a continuous vine of green brush strokes with red berries.  Although faint green leaf brush strokes appear around the conical top and on the cap.  Remnants of old red oxide paint appear on the bottom. Some paint loss expected with age.  Still a wonderful early piece in excellent condition.  Size: 6.5”H x 3”W   $185.00

9150   A rolled iron cow bell from the early 1900’s in blue paint.  As is the need for any farmer to be a self reliant mechanic the ringer inside is merely a hex nut with remnants of the same outer blue paint attached to a hand shaped wire hook.  A nice rural find.  Size:  5.5”H x 4.5”W   $45.00.

9129   A 19th century very unusual long and slightly curved handled dough cutter or crimper in its original red paint.  The wheel is brass with a copper pin/axle peened into place to secure the wheel.  A primitive utensil that has seen more than its share of dough.  Size 13.5”L   $95.00

9112   A heavy 25 lb. cast iron horse tie in its original yellow paint.  Produced during the last quarter of the 1800’s by the William Adams & Co. a foundry in Philadelphia (ca. 1872).  Normally carried on carriages and wagons and placed on the ground when no other tie was available.  Excellent condition and ready for service.  Size: 7”W x 3.5”H   $240.00

8304    Early to mid 1800’s foot warmer with hand punched hearts on all sides and in combination with pinwheels (rosettes or stars) on the sides and rear.  The overall construction is mortise and tennon.  The original removable tinder box remains inside.   $295.00

9102 Ca. 1800 cast iron trivet in the form of a compass flower (rosette/star) the Pennsylvania German symbol for their Christian faith.  This piece is attributed to the former Speedwell Forge in Lititz.   $95.00
