The rectangular seat is serpentine shaped, the turned legs are splayed and mortised into but not through the top surface of the seat. 9162 Found in New Hampshire, an 1820’s sturdy step-down Windsor chair. The black finish is completely original with a free hand abstract red, green and white decoration on the tablet. There are white decorations and thin banding on the rails, seven curved rods, hand shaped plank seat, legs and stretchers.
