9178 From Oley Valley, PA long held in a private collection of early painted pieces, a sensational table top slant lid box with leather hinges. Truly spectacular wherever it calls home. Size: 16”L x 11.25”W x with a tapered height back to front of 8” to 4.75”. $795.00 |

9171 From an old order Amish home near Paradise, PA an early 1900’s decorated pine document box. In its original apple green paint, although muted by a coat of well aged varnish, it comes to life with free hand pin stripes in tomato red and persimmon orange. Its applied moldings differ in profile between the lid and the bottom but clearly resembles a six board blanket chest. Untouched with perfect proportions it is indeed plain but elegant. Size: 14.75”L x 5.75”W x 3.75”H. $220.00 |
