9345   In memoriam, from 1950 and who lived in New Jersey, an intricately carved and painted wooden relief of a much loved family member named, Archie.  By trade his carver, William Vincent Skrips, was a union carpenter whose avocation as a naïve yet highly skilled folk artist is clearly evident.  Unavoidable is the emotional embrace a seemingly ethereal presence of lives eternal in the work and in the hands that created a symbiosis of unconditional love.  Size: 7.75”H x 7.25”W x 1.125”D
