9354   Acquired from a private folk art collection and carved skillfully from a single block of wood is a ca. 1940 realistic, well scaled common bull frog perfectly mated to its salvaged cypress base.  Painted in shades of green, white, black and gold details with just the right degree of craquelure and signed by the artist, H. L Strong.  A big boy indeed still waiting for that proverbial kiss for his trans-royalty conversion.  Missing only is his melodic croak, sold separately, batteries not included (just kidding)….  Size: 8”L x 7”W x 3.5”H (frog only) Base 8.25”Dia. x 3.25”H
